Packing is an art in itself. There is a lot to think about when packing. Therefore, we have drafted a compilation of some tips and advice on how to make your house relocation run smoothly.

You are the one who pack.

Plan early - prepare for your move in advance, for it tends to take much longer than expected. The better the preparation, the smoother the removal process.
Pack everything to be moved into the real moving boxes - do not use bananas (they are always too small) or plastic bags. Do not hesitate to ask us what type of boxes you should buy.

Packing checklist

1. Start in the store. Start with packing your attic, cellar, garage or storage. Declutter – clear what is to be shed.
2. Glass and china is stored on tissue paper. Place your glasses wrapped in tissue paper or some newspapers.
3. Spread the weight 50/50. Do not pack too heavy! Whenever you are packing books or the like, leave the other half of the box for pillows, clothes etc.
4. Rugs. Roll up rugs and tie with string, silver tape or another binding material.
5. Cables and wiring. All TV, video, stereo and other cables must be disconnected and rolled up. Wrap them together with string or tape.
6. Shelves. Take down all loose/separate shelves and parts and tape or tie them together.
7. Mirrors. Mirrors, pictures, crystal chandeliers etc. which do not fit into boxes, are left in place.
8. All bulbs are removed.
9. Oblong objects. You may also pack skis, curtain rods, brooms etc. into easy-to-transport packages.
10. If you do not want assistance with packing - label all boxes on the sides.
11. Classify all items when packing e.g. “Fragile”, “Living room”, “Kitchen”, “Cellar”, “Clothes” etc.
